Cancer Related Disparities in the Elderly Population
The proposed studies will compare cancer-related outcomes (stage at diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care) among individuals >= 65 years of age diagnosed with breast, prostate, or colon cancer during the study period, 1998-2002. Comparisons will be aimed at identifying disparities by age, race, comorbidities, socioeconomic status, and Medicaid status. 4.0 calendar months

Effect of Home Care Agency Providers and Visits of Heart Failure Patient Outcomes
The purpose of the study is to determine factors predictive of rehospitalization and functional decline in heart failure (HF) patients receiving home health care and identify whether specific approaches to delivery of care (higher visit intensity) is associated with lower rehospitalization and functional status decline, potentially reducing the burden of HF on individual patients and the health care system/

Proposed studies examine disparities in receipt of mammography and breast cancer outcomes in Medicaid beneficiaries with and without mental illness.

Outcomes of Curable Cancers in Vulnerable Populations
Proposed studies examine disparities in survival of patients with curable cancers by Medicaid status. Further, the studies examine outcomes within the Medicaid population in the presence or absence of mental and physical illness.

Colonoscopy: Practice Patterns and Limitations
The goals of this study are to evaluate follow-up practices after colonoscopy with polypectomy, evaluate the use and relative benefit of colonoscopic resection of malignant polyps and estimate the frequency of cancers that may have failed colonoscopic detection
